More About me

I initially became an Addiction counselor in 2015 and worked in detox facilities and recovery facilities until 2018. After graduating University of Washington with a double Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare and Criminal Justice, my experiences led me to work in hospitals, where I learned about in-home services and soon after became an in-home counselor – providing in-home services to clients in their environment.

My passion for working with others took off when I became a parent. The passion and desire I carry sets forth a belief – that EVERY individual has the capacity for growth and healing. I believe our shared humanity allows us to connect person to person – human being to human being, and drives my passion for helping people, families, homes, and our communities. I am driven by collaboration with people seeking guidance and methods to assist them through mental health issues and stresses, understanding themselves, their environment, and their world. I love creative problem-solving and solution-focused therapy, where I believe in the strength and resilience of people to overcome obstacles and boundaries to realize their full potential and provide a safe non-judgemental, authentic, and empathetic connection to allow clients in their own environment to express themselves freely.

My therapeutic approaches tend to lean towards person-centered and solution-focused therapy. However, I utilize a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities to meet the client’s needs in their own environment, by providing in-home services including CREST, Life Coaching techniques and skills, and Trauma Informed Care. I may use motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, education, assign homework, mindfulness, and other treatment interventions depending on the client’s goals and needs. Overall, I am adaptable and acknowledge the art of building a strong authentic connection with the client that is holistic and effective for therapy.
