More About Me
I have spent all of my adult life working with kids, teenagers, and families in some form: camp director, 4+ years in Malawi, Africa with orphan youth, incarcerated youth in prison, trauma counseling, and non-directive play therapy. I am familiar with government systems, foster care, courts, and adoption. I strongly believe in family, attachment, and building trust and security among family members. I work with individuals from an Adlerian approach: finding the strengths in each person, and building those up to their greatest potential. I believe as a counselor, my role is to walk alongside struggling individuals offering support, encouragement, and an empathetic ear. The relationship is key to a therapeutic relationship, not just techniques.
